The story began in 1862 when Louis Ernest Ladurée set up his bakery at 16 rue Royale in Paris. The originator of the macaroon and pioneer of tea rooms, Ladurée has been telling the story of Paris and the Parisian spirit for more than 160 years, and has been promoting the finest French patisserie, with taste and daring, throughout the world.
