Known for her paper clay creations – a combination of clay mixed with paper, cardboard or pulp – and a deep understanding of colour and the role it plays in our emotions, Italian artist Paola Paronetto has applied her skill and vision to Veuve Clicquot’s renowned La Grande Dame. This box is one of six collectible and colourful textured gift boxes that each host the excellent 2015 vintage and conveys the sense of craft from Paola’s paper clay ceramics. A beautiful, golden colour that sparkles brightly.

On the nose, there are initial notes of white flowers, such as jasmine, honeysuckle and vine flowers followed by fruitier nuances of apple, pear and peach. A few notes of fresh sliced almond and frangipane complete the bouquet. In the mouth, there are more complex aromas: dried apricot, hazelnuts, honey and sugar candy. Silky textures give the wine its personality, elegance and character, while the ageing has imparted depth and power to the wine.
